Dr. Aciel Sagrera-Mulen
I am Dr. Aciel Sagrera-Mulen, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, APRN, a bilingual healthcare provider (English Spanish) with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. My journey began in 1996 in Camagüey, Cuba, when I started my Bachelor of Science degree, which served as the driving force for the rest of my career in the medical sciences.
A few years later, I earned my DMD degree, and in 2010, I became a specialist in facial and neck surgery, providing comprehensive and holistic care to my patients in my home country, Cuba.
After relocating to the United States, I further expanded my expertise by becoming a double-certified NP, specializing in Family Medicine (FNP-C) and Psychiatric and Mental Health (PMHNP-BC). I ultimately regained my doctoral degree by earning the title of DNP.
My approach to healthcare focuses on holistic, patient-centered care, combining extensive clinical knowledge with empathy to treat the whole person. In addition to my clinical work, I am also a professor, dedicated to mentoring and educating the next generation of compassionate healthcare providers.

My career has included experience in Oral Medicine, Surgery, Family Medicine, and Psychiatry. In my home country of Cuba, I specialized as a Facial and Neck Surgeon, gaining invaluable experience in managing complex patient cases with precision and care.
After transitioning to the United States, I pursued further professional development, becoming a Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and earning a Doctoral Degree to enhance my ability to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. My practice is rooted in a holistic approach, focusing on treating the whole person rather than just symptoms, with a commitment to empathy and personalized treatment.Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in various fields of medicine, beginning with my early specialization in Facial and Neck Surgery in Cuba. Managing complex cases in surgical and medical settings refined my precision, diagnostic skills, and patient care approach.
After relocating to the United States, I pursued advanced degrees to continue providing high-quality care. I became a Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and earned a Doctoral Degree, further enhancing my ability to offer comprehensive healthcare solutions. My transition into academia has allowed me to mentor and shape future healthcare providers, ensuring they are equipped with evidence-based knowledge and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Beyond my professional life, I am a devoted husband and father, finding strength and inspiration in my family. Their support fuels my dedication to my patients, students, and the broader medical community.
